Macroinvertebrates

The
macroinvertebrate (small organisms found in aquatic systems) kit, designed for students in grades 3-12, provides
all necessary field equipment to allow students to collect and identify aquatic organisms in their natural
habitats. There are dip nets for sampling, sorting trays, collection jars with lids, and brushes to assist students
in observing and discovering more about these creatures. Excellent identification sheets and dichotomous keys make
identification easy for all ages without experience. Rubber boots, microscopes, and a water quality test kit are
also available to create a full field lesson at any stream, pond, or wetland. A smaller macroinvertebrate sampling
kit is also available that will serve 5-10 participants.
