Nature Science
Investigations
KOSS is now adding a new Inquiry Option to
its residential outdoor school
programming. In
this 4-day program, your class will experience
full-inquiry outdoor science aligned to Oregon science
standards. After exploratory experiences,
students will work in teams to design investigations to
answer their own questions about
nature. They
will have an opportunity to use our new LabQuest
electronic data loggers and other scientific tools.
Students will collect and analyze their data in an
Outdoor Investigation Journal provided by
KOSS. This
journal can be used as a work sample for science
inquiry. This
is a perfect opportunity for students and teachers to
experience the inquiry process with instructors who are
trained in that process and have an extensive knowledge
about the natural world.
Inquiries can focus on
forest, wetland,
or stream
environments.
