Forest Ecology

Trees play an important part in our environment and local economy. The Forest Ecology Kit, designed for grades K-8, focuses on trees of Oregon. The kit allows users to study the life cycle of trees, build a tree, using common adaptations, examine tree cookies to determine age, play educational games, and use a dichotomous key to identify the common trees of Oregon. The kit also includes field guides, story books, videos, posters, and pine cones to provide hands-on learning experiences for students.
